Brixton FR is a data communications software-based product that connectsremote UNIX systems to worldwide public and private data networksadhering to the ANSI Frame Relay protocols. As an internetwork router,the Brixton FR leverages a Frame Relay wide-area network to transferTCP/IP and SNA traffic to remote networks.Brixton FR runs on a wide range of standard UNIX n Windows NT platforms -requiring no new investment in routing hardware. This "routerless"software approach expands the bounds of TCP/IP wide-area connectivitywithout making large investments in special-purpose hardware. Brixton FRis an economical solution for integrating remote TCP/IP sites into wide-are frame relay networks. Since Brixton FR does not require a dedicatedcomputer, the platform may be used simultaneoulsy for other purposes,such as a file server or application host.
